I would say one of the easiest and most important ways you can have a green wedding is by going local, local, local! Which is why I love finding Seattle companies that couples can utilize for their wedding. I recently came across Fabby shoes (based out of Seattle) and instantly thought they would be perfect for a wedding! Lets be honest ladies, no matter how much we love to wear heels by the end of a night our feet are KILLING US! I don't even want to admit how many times my friends or I have had to take off our shoes by the end of an evening because our feet hurt so much! Hence, the genius of Fabby shoes; they are compact, rollable ballet flats that can fit in a bag or purse with ease. These would be great to change into at the reception, or even to put in a little goodie bag for your bridesmaids! Look how easy they are!

They come in three colors:

If you are looking for some eco-friendly bridesmaid gifts check our guest blog posting we did for The Green Bride Guide! They were such a pleasure to work with! We can't say enough wonderful things about the staff working there! Thanks again for the opportunity! xoxo

I have to admit, I am a bit of a Project Runway fanatic. I love sewing myself and am always so amazed to see what these creative and talented designers can do for only a $100! And of course I have my favorites...last season I couldn't get enough of Carol Hannah and her gorgeous gowns. So you can imagine my excitement when I heard she launched her designs on Etsy! Her designs are fabulous and relatively inexpensive as well. She is continuing to work on her bridal collection but you can preview her wedding designs here; (which include wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses for all you fashionable brides).

I came across some gorgeous bridesmaid dresses on Martha Stewart Weddings blog that I had to share. I love the colors and the style of these dresses! They are fun and flirty but also appropriate for a wedding. I think your bridesmaids would love these dresses and they can easily be worn again! I am sure your bridesmaids could wear them as a guest to another wedding or even to a party or social event. This would make your green wedding even more environmentally friendly! If you like these styles I would recommend checking out the designer, Lela Rose's website.
