Lately I love the idea of forgoing the traditional wedding cake/cupcake and serving something else instead!  How fun would these be?

In my opinion you can NEVER go wrong with mochi or ice cream!

But this might be my favorite. How awesome would it be to have your own ICE CREAM truck at your wedding?  Not only will your guests love it, but look how cute your pictures would be!

I am so excited to share with you Seattle's very first Cupcake Camp!  So what is a Cupcake Camp exactly and how can all you green brides benefit from it? Well just think of it is a really big cake tasting! It is a completely volunteer run event brought to you by our very talented Seattle cupcake experts at Bella Cupcake Couture. You can participate in the Cupcake Camp Seattle a number of ways:

• bake or buy cupcakes to donate
• come to eat cupcakes!
• help raise money for a good cause
  

There will be activities such as baking competitions, cupcake wrapper decorating and cupcake eating!  The best part is that it is FREE and all donations will go towards Hope Heart Institute. 

This event is a great way to find inspiration for your own wedding while raising money for a good cause!  Find out more details on the event here.

Have any of you brides thought about doing something other than wedding cake for dessert?  I came across this article the other day on Twitter and absolutely fell in love with the idea.  Here is a step by step on how to make mini pie desserts in mason jars!  This would be such a great favor or parting gift for your guests!  I also think this would be a great way to reduce your wedding costs as you can have a small wedding cake for you and your husband to cut and then provide each of your guests with their own personal dessert!  I hope one of you decides to do this for your own wedding!

I must admit fall is my absolute favorite season!  I love all the colors, the hot apple cider and cozy sweaters and cuddling up by a fire when its cold and dark outside.  I wish I could have had a fall wedding; I love the color palette and all the fun eco-friendly decor ideas that are so easy to incorporate during this season.  Today I was inspired by some beautiful fall wedding cakes for all you green brides who are getting married this season.  Enjoy!
