I completely adore the green wedding we are highlighting this week, shot by the talented Lauren Kennedy. The ceremony was held in the garden of the bride's childhood home in Lima, NY and this made for an absolutely stunning backdrop. The photographer (who is moving to Seattle this June) did an amazing job of capturing all the emotions, details and decor. This couple really got creative and you can see their individual personalities and love for one another shine through as a result. They incorporated several eco-friendly elements such as serving local food and using flowers from the garden to make the bridal bouquet. The bride's dress was also absolutely unique and sentimental as it was made by one of her closest friends. One of my favorite parts of the wedding however has to be the use of the typewriters! During cocktail hour, all the guests sat down at a typewriter and wrote a personal note to the couple...such a beautiful idea. I will let the images tell you the rest of their story:

As a recent newlywed myself I must admit going through all your wedding photos and trying to decide which ones to frame, which ones to put in an album and even how to display them within an album is quite a daunting task! The entire process can be overwhelming; you want your wedding album to capture all those special moments, details and emotions so 15 years from now when you look back you will still remember it all. Laura Reoch of Forget Me Not Designs has managed to capture this through her new eco-friendly album Earth.
Earth was recently featured in the Fall 2009 issue of Inside Weddings and you can view a sample of an album here. What I love, aside from the style, is how environmentally sound the album is. Earth is made in the United States and is printed on 100% post consumer recycled acid-free archival paper. The entire production process is powered by wind and with the purchase of each album a donation is made towards the planting of trees. This would be perfect for all you green brides or even as a wedding gift!
Sound too good to be true? Just take a look at the beautiful designs!
