Finding that Green Wedding Dress

Searching for an eco-friendly wedding dress can be a daunting task as a bride.  I remember when I planned my own green wedding I felt so frustrated with the lack of options in the market place.  My main concern was buying a dress that I couldn't try on first and unfortunately this still poses a problem to many eco-conscious brides.  However, I thought if I outlined the process and then segmented some green wedding gown options it might help some of you brides in your search for that perfect dress.  

In terms of shopping for a wedding dress, I would first suggest you go to various bridal stores and try on a bunch of dresses for their style and fit on your body.   Once you have selected the style you want it is much easier to order your dress online as the dress will have to be altered to fit your body anyways. In terms of going green, the greenest option is to obviously wear a dress that has already been used.  You can borrow from a friend or family member or even rent one (many bridal shops actually rent dresses as well). If you can't find anything you like there are also sites such as PreOwnedWeddingDresses or Bravo Bride where you can purchase a dress that has already been worn.

If you don't like the idea of wearing a used dress these designers are a great alternative. I recommend looking on their websites to see if they sell any dresses in your area.
